Germany will play tonight in the first semi-final match and thus remains a serious contender for the World Cup title. That is the opinion of the German participants of our running survey with the market research institute Consilium, on who will win the 2014 World Cup.
For the first time, Germany passed the 60% mark. However, it wasn’t the win against France which convinced the participants of the potential of the German eleven, more the mistakes made by the Dutch team in their close game against Costa Rica. Confidence in Argentina and Brazil remains unchanged.
Shortly before the start of semi-final game the German team leads with 61%. Lagging far behind are the host (19%) and the Netherlands (14%). Trailing in last place is Argentina with 5% of the votes.
It remains to be seen, just how accurate swarm intelligence can predict the actual winner of the World Cup! May the best team win!
We will bring you the next results after both semi-final matches have been played on Friday the 11th of July.
