Germany are favourites to win the World Cup final. This is the latest result of our current survey with the market research institute Consilium; with whom we regularly ask our German panellists on their opinion about who will the World Cup in Brazil.
The German eleven lost votes after their shaky performance against Algeria and slipped under the 50% mark for the first time since their initial victory against Portugal. Of course, the other teams have profited from the drop in confidence towards Germany, especially France after their triumphant 2:0 against Nigeria. The host country also gained some ground after their close win against Chile.
However, Germany remains the firm favourite (45%), followed by Brazil (18%) and the Netherlands (16%). France has fought back to take fourth place. The outsider Costa Rica is currently in fifth place.
We are on tenterhooks, to see the mood after the quarter-final tonight. The German team face France, who so far has shown gritty determination.
You can read the next results on Tuesday the 8th of July, when the semi-final matches are certain.
