The three day GOR in Berlin, full of workshops, keynotes, presentations and discussions, is over. Our conclusion: the GOR in 2017 was a great conference, with a fantastic atmosphere and just the place to exchange ideas and opinions with like-minded people.
We could take home valuable information, inspiration and practical ideas from all Tracks to implement in our daily business. As Track sponsor, we were particularly interested in Track B „Big data und Data Science“ and we are certain that online research in this field is finally taking off. We were thrilled about the keynote from our Chairman of the Board, Prof. Dr. Bernad Batinic who as grandfather of the GOR observed the beginnings of online research in Germany.
Of course, no GOR would be complete without a party. A huge thanks to all those who came to the GOR party held at Babette beauty salon.
We were especially delighted at the numerous visitors to both our contributions.
Under the title „Online customer journey analysis: a data science toolbox“ Denis Bonnay demonstrated how tracking data of online behaviour can be used in the most insightful way. François Erner and Gabrielle Florin dedicated their presentation „Election polls: emotions / indecision to the rescue!“ to traditional election research and its limits and showed how behavioural-based approaches, in combination with traditional studies can fill in the gaps left by declarative data.
If you are interested in any of our talks, please get in touch and we will send you the appropriate presentation. We look forward to hearing from you and see you at the GOR 2018 which will take place in Cologne, our home town!
