Between the 17th and 19th of June, our Chief Operating Officer Orkan Dolay was at the MRMW (Mobile Research in a Mobile World) near Amsterdam. Here he shares some insights with us:
About three or four years ago, I was at the MRMW in London with some interesting presentations of Use Cases in Mobile Research. Hence, I was looking forward to some new ideas on mobile market research, but I soon realized you can’t always rely on the content of an event to match its name. There wasn`t a single presentation on Mobile Research. However, this did not have a negative effect on the event; it was one of the best I have attended over the last few years.
I was surprised about the number of end customers who held presentations, often alone without a market research company, e.g. L’Oréal and BBC. Apart from the omnipresent topic automation, two other topics stood out: Several end customers discussed their way to internally combine insights from market research and other data on a platform and make it available as a tool for their stakeholders. In addition to the criteria „purchase intention“, concept tests were challenged and alternatives introduced. Further exciting topics, which are gaining more and more importance: Augmented Reality and Internet of Things.
These are only a few insights into a packed program with many innovative topics. The atmosphere of the conference, with almost 200 participants, was really nice and relaxed and it was easy to strike up conversations. The evening event, organized by Dalia at the hotel bar, was the ideal backdrop for networking where I had the opportunity to exchange thoughts and ideas with colleagues.
I will definitely return next year!
