At the first international conference “Quality in market, opinion and social research” in Vienna everything revolved around quality assurance in market and opinion research and the accountability of the industry. The main conclusion drawn from the congress: From the training of interviewers to the selection of reputable field service providers to data evaluation – quality has its price. The conference was hosted at the Chamber of Commerce in Vienna by the Austrian Market Research Association (vmö) and the following associations: DGOF, TeleTrusT, VSMS/ASMS, as well as the committee 260 of Austrian Standards International.
Jörg Tschasche, Chief Production Officer respondi, explained how quality assurance can be guaranteed in practice. Under the title “Quality in online market research in practice – case study respondi“, he presented the diverse influencing factors of the high-quality service offered within the framework of a market research project. From the management, through to the participants and data quality to the data transmission and compliance of project parameters.
