Welcome to Germany’s most influential online research conference.
Inspiring keynotes, innovative research ideas and interesting discussions: this year again the GOR, held at the University of Applied Sciences in Cologne, offered close to 400 visitors a wealth of exciting insights. The themes ranged from digital survey methods, Big Data & Data Science to the day-to-day business of market research. The “Spiegel affair” was also a talking point; however at the conference opening Otto Hellwig, our CEO and DGOF Chairman, emphasised „quality requires honesty“ and „ mutual trust is instrumental in getting good results”, thus sending a positive and confident message to the branch.
In our role as sponsor of this year’s Best Practice Awards, respondi congratulates the proud winners Yannick Rieder and Thomas Perry from the Q | Agentur für Forschung and Sabine Feierabend from SWR Südwestrundfunk for their winning entry “From Research to Content: How We Exploit the Web like a Goldmine for Editors and Content Producers“. The annual award has existed since 2008 and honours the implementation of online research methods in daily business. A huge thank you to those who voted, the jury, as well as all those who celebrated the announcement of the winners in the Scheuen Reh bar.
It was great to see a packed room for our talk on digital data collection. Denis Bonnay, Director Data & Analytics at respondi, presented exciting insights all about the measurement of reaction time in the paper „What does time measure?”
We carried on with the innovative spirit in our talk „Dataviz and behavioural sampling for managing online communities”. respondi‘s Chief Innovation Officer François Erner presented a new method of holding Online Research Communities and explained how combining online tracking and declarative surveys can provide quicker, cheaper and more precise results.
Bengül Robillard, Managing Director respondi Deutschland rounded up our series of talks. Under the title „How to use web navigation data to segment online journeys“, she demonstrated how online behavioural data can be used to segment various behavioural patterns, user groups and customer journeys.
Please contact us if you are interested in our talks or would like to learn more about our products and services and we will send you corresponding presentation.
We are looking forward to the GOR 2019 – in Cologne again.
